Course Details

Join award-winning journalist Keith Bolender as he analyzes the development of US foreign policy since the devastation of 9/11. Hear his take on the American new world order and his thesis regarding American ambitions to impose an international Monroe Doctrine. Mr. Bolender focuses on ways in which President Bush's NeoCon agenda and assumption of moral authority affect international relations. Topics covered include:  ways in which 9/11 changed everything; the with-us-or-against-us mentality; policies for a new American century; the tactic of pre-emptive war; Iraq and the American economic agenda; relations with Europe and the UN; the role of mainstream media; the changing faces of allies and enemies; the influence of public opinion; and future American foreign policy directions.
