1994 Summer Writing School: Songwriting

Course Description

Improve your songwriting skills in a five-day intensive workshop with a celebrated songwriter. Part of the U of T Summer Writing School, this course introduces you to a wider writing community working in many different genres. You'll learn songwriting forms, how to avoid clichés and how to marry your music with your lyrics. You'll discover how great songwriters created the templates for today's popular songs. Short exercises will help you break through writer's block and find your own voice.
