Contemporary organizations are increasingly working in project-based environments. Success depends on the alignment of their projects with the organization's strategic goals, and on the integration of their projects into coherent programs and portfolios. This course is designed for project managers responsible for the strategic design, implementation and control of project programs and portfolios.
This course qualifies for 20 professional development units (PDUs).
•Assess the similarities and differences in the goals, and characteristics of the three categories of an organization's business initiatives: projects, program and portfolios
•Adjust, modify and apply all relevant project management knowledge areas tools and techniques to program and portfolio management.
•Develop and apply relevant and rigorous project selection methods to support the establishment and management of relevant effective programs and portfolios
•Extend and apply concepts of project management maturity to the management of programs and portfolios
It is recommended that registrants should have completed the Foundations of Project Management or an equivalent course in another institution.
