Course Details

The word "memoir" can mean all sorts of things. A memoir can be an autobiography of a life well lived, or the detailed recreation of a year spent in a Mexican jail. It's the story that only you can tell and, contrary to popular belief, you are never too young or too old to write it. This course is for anyone who wants to write a memoir, whether the goal is to informally record stories for family and friends or to publish them for a wider audience.

Learner Outcomes

  • One or two chapters of your memoir
  • Skills for selecting and crafting personal stories that will make good reading
  • Development of tools and techniques to help you complete your memoir
