In this certificate program, you’ll acquire the skills and attitudes you need to adapt to these conditions and efficiently coach and manage your teams.
Combining core courses and electives, you’ll increase self-awareness, develop a more collaborative thinking style and growth mindset, and enhance your commitment to participation and positivity. Through customized learning pathways, you’ll learn to assess diverse needs, map resources, leverage feedback, and handle adversity. You’ll strengthen your leadership and negotiation skills and learn how to turn conflict from a negative into a catalyst for positive change. You’ll harness the power of disruption so you can exit your comfort zone, use your imagination, and play your way to success. When your employees need effective coaching, you’ll be there to promote creativity and provide structures for inclusive and persuasive communication.
With up to three years to complete Level I, you’ll emerge equipped to be a leader not just of a moment but a movement: able to identify and define leadership styles; produce processes that drive change; create organizational efficiency; define team values and hold teams accountable to them; and evaluate diverse management and engagement methods. You’ll also be prepared to take your knowledge and skills to the next level with our Leadership: Level II certificate, launching in Fall 2025.
If you have previously taken a few Leadership Essentials course under the now phased out certificate, and have NOT applied for a Leadership Essentials Certificate. You may use those courses towards Leadership Lv1 or Lv2 based on the course equivalencies below.
