Course Description
Leading organizations need effective governance and an ethical, socially responsible culture to manage their reputations and fulfill strategic objectives, particularly in a time of unprecedented public and regulatory scrutiny. In this course you will learn key concepts of corporate governance, business ethics and corporate social responsibility. Topics include the balance between shareholder and stakeholder interests, a board's role in setting an ethical tone, risk management and ethical compliance, and the relationship between reputation risk management and corporate social responsibility.
Learning Outcomes
- Understand the theory and key concepts of corporate governance, business ethics and corporate social responsibility in the Canadian business environment.
- Know current best practices and regulatory frameworks in corporate governance, business ethics and corporate social responsibility.
