Course Description

If you've successfully completed 0983 - Advanced Management Accounting or have equivalent skills, this course will prepare you to tackle higher-level issues using more complex processes and systems. You'll build on the skills you already have and command a wider range of accounting resources that can help organizations achieve their financial goals. Whether you work in the finance, accounting or audit sectors, you'll learn valuable techniques and acquire useful skills that make you stand out in your workplace.

Learning Outcomes

  • Use advanced concepts related to cost-volume-profit analysis, decentralization and transfer pricing.
  • Understand the Canadian tax system in relation to capital budgeting.
  • Apply concepts of activity-based accounting.
  • Become familiar with cost flows in a joint-production process.
  • Understand capital budgeting under conditions of certainty and uncertainty.
