Course Description

Emotional intelligence and empathy are defining assets of effective leaders in today’s volatile world. In this course, you’ll learn now to harness your focus and attentiveness to become a better leader. You'll use reflection, mindfulness assessments, simulations and exercises to develop your leadership plan. You’ll examine ways to make your leadership brand more resilient and create a more optimistic worldview. You’ll enhance your relationship-building skills to cultivate greater rapport and a spirit of collaboration amongst a team and across departments.

Within 4-6 weeks of successfully completing this course, you will receive your micro-credential indicating achievement of the outlined learning outcomes and competencies/skills. Micro-credentials are tamper proof, verifiable, blockchain-based and 100% digital. They can be shared on social media, including LinkedIn and Facebook, embedded in websites or downloaded as PDFs.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this micro course, you'll be able to:

  • Identify and describe the four pillars of emotional intelligence and explain their significance in effective leadership.
  • Apply self-awareness frameworks and tools to analyse personal emotional triggers and behavioural patterns.
  • Develop and implement self-management strategies to enhance emotional resilience and maintain focus under pressure.
  • Demonstrate social awareness by interpreting organizational dynamics and building trust-based professional relationships.
  • Utilize relationship management techniques, including coaching and ethical influence, to achieve leadership objectives.
  • Design and deliver a Vision Speech that articulates leadership purpose and demonstrates emotional intelligence in communication.
