Course Description

This advanced workshop gives experienced writers an opportunity to delve more deeply into the craft of creative non-fiction. An emphasis on workshopping and writing exercises will help you hone your skills, develop technique and experiment with voice, style and form. You'll analyze assigned readings (creative non-fiction pieces and craft essays) to further your understanding of the genre and enhance your critical abilities. You'll also meet a community of like-minded writers who share your goals.

Prerequisites

1692 Creative Non-Fiction II or instructor approval based on submission of a work-in-progress. Please send to scs.writing@utoronto.ca.
