Course Description

Validation is as critical to the design process as upfront user research. While exploratory research offers valuable insights into user needs, goals and challenges before product development, validation (or evaluative research) allows you to test the product during or toward the end of the development lifecycle for any potential usability problems. In this six-week online course, you’ll learn how to plan, prepare for and conduct design validation though usability testing and other evaluative research methods. You’ll also learn how to analyze testing data and report actionable insights to stakeholders.

Within 4-6 weeks of successfully completing this course, you will receive your micro-credential indicating achievement of the outlined learning outcomes and competencies/skills. Micro-credentials are tamper proof, verifiable, blockchain-based and 100% digital. They can be shared on social media, including LinkedIn and Facebook, embedded in websites or downloaded as PDFs.
