Course Description

Interaction design is a core facet of user experience design that concentrates on the interaction between users and products, systems, or services. This discipline extends beyond functionality to include the behavioral and emotional responses it elicits from users. In this six-week online course, you will develop a deeper understanding of interaction design principles, laws, and frameworks, which will serve as vital tools in your future design projects. You will learn how to effectively apply these principles, along with modern design patterns and tools, to create compelling interfaces. The course will focus primarily on web and mobile interfaces but will also include discussions on applicable emerging technologies.

By the end of the course, you will become more proficient in all aspects of the prototyping process and learn rapid ideation methods to solve user problems and bring your ideas to life. After the course, you will be able to use design processes and frameworks to effectively frame problems, ideate solutions, and create functional and usable prototypes.

Within 4-6 weeks of successfully completing this course, you will receive your micro-credential indicating achievement of the outlined learning outcomes and competencies/skills. Micro-credentials are tamper proof, verifiable, blockchain-based and 100% digital. They can be shared on social media, including LinkedIn and Facebook, embedded in websites or downloaded as PDFs.
