Course Description

If you want to master writing copy that engages and sells, this course is for you. Taught by an experienced copywriter, this course combines instruction with real-world examples and practical exercises to show you how to write marketing materials that work. You'll learn elements of persuasion and tricks of the trade, so you can write winning websites, emails, ads, landing pages, direct mail and more. Learn to brainstorm, outline, summarize, and edit using generative AI tools, while applying critical thinking skills to fact-check, customize, and improve the AI writing outputs. This course takes the mystery out of crafting winning headlines, structuring and writing body copy, and composing motivating calls-to-action. You'll also receive constructive feedback on your assignments.

Learning Outcomes

  • Master the basics of writing marketing copy that motivates and persuades.
  • Be able to plan a copywriting project and generate an abundance of good ideas and concepts.
  • Know several practical techniques for writing winning headlines, body copy, and other text elements.
  • Be able to skillfully write the most common types of copywriting projects: ads, emails, landing pages, direct mail, website pages, and more.
  • While using AI tools (like ChatGPT, Jasper, and others) in your writing, develop your own unique voice.
